The presentations/workshops/symposia will be held in English or German.
Presentations/workshops may be repeated in other languages during the unscheduled time in the afternoons (agora).
Abstracts of presentations will be translated in different languages.
Please send in your abstract by 31st of December. Please use the upload formula to give the title and a description of your presentation. We will attempt to notify you as soon as possible whether your presentation has been accepted!
There will be 4 forms of presentation/discussion at the IFC 2010. The language will be English or German (or both; also in other languages, if presentations are held twice):
Instead of the classical lecture we want to encourage discussion of texts. If you are interested in this format, we ask you to send your complete text in English or German before March 15th. The text will be made available on the conference website and will be only accessible for the registered conference participants with the use of a password. We want to encourage the start of a discussion of these texts on the conference discussion list before the conference. The discussion will continue at the conference in a discussion group with other participants, in a time slot of 1.5-3 hrs, where we think together. A facilitator will support a process of experiential thinking. The discussion can go on after the conference.
The conference organization may invite presenters to form a group with one or two other authors with a similar or a related theme, and to organize a symposium. Depending on the number of texts, the symposia will last between 1,5 hrs and 3 hrs.
Presentations will be held in a time slot of 1 hour, using 30-40 minutes for presentation and 20-30 minutes to talk about the presented topics. Facilitators will be present to welcome the speaker and moderate the dialogue after the presentation. Please give a description of your presentation in English or German on the upload formula.
You can offer a workshop if you want to let people know and experience the way you are working. “Workshop“ does not mean „longer presentation“ – it is important that the time will be spent in a practical way. Abstracts with the details of what will be offered in the workshop, are needed in advance (see upload formula).
You can offer a poster session at the „Agora“, a common space open to everyone. You can arrange a time for your poster session at the beginning of the conference. Please bring papers and material suitable to demonstrate your work.
We will have a new place for daily meetings called Agora (“market”). Everybody can offer or attend discussions, bodywork, music, painting, new ideas about focusing, partnerships… The Agora will be open in the evening for the kinds of events that previously took place in the “Follies” and for dancing. All talents are welcome.
